Product Description
Objective: Identify the structure and function of DNA

Activity: Create a 3D pyramid about DNA structure and replication. Once complete, use the pyramid, or research the answers to questions likely to be on and end of year test.

Answers to questions:
Nitrogen bases
A= Adenine
T= Thymine
G=Guanine
C=Cytosine
1. nucleotide, phosphate, base
2. complements, guanine, thymine
3. ATGCTC
4. During replication in cell division the DNA strand (a double helix) unzips. Each strand has a nitrogen base sequence that will pair with its complementary base. This way, each single DNA strand going into each daughter cell will have an identical DNA code, and the parent traits are passed to the offspring in this way.
