Need a D'Nealian Alphabet for your classroom? I did. I wanted one with pictures and words that my students would be able to understand clearly. I couldn't find what I wanted so I created my own. Gender friendly polka dot backgrounds, mostly non-fiction pictures when possible. Pictures correspond to the Jack Hartman Letter Sound Songs. Each letter of the alphabet is about 1/2 of a letter sized sheet of paper. Perfect for small classrooms. Consonants are on blue backgrounds, vowels on red backgrounds, and y is on a purple background. What makes this alphabet truly special is that it has both short AND long vowel sounds represented on the vowel cards. I printed 2 copies one to display and one to use as flash cards with my class. Take a look you won't be disappointed.
