DOK Critique Discussion Cards!
I love using these cards in my classroom to get students to talk about their artwork! In this file you will be given question cards and response cards. The question cards are larger and the smaller cards are for response. I find that for many of my students it is difficult for them to know how to have discussion about their artwork or what to say to keep the conversation going. These make it easy!
How to Use:
Cut and laminate larger question cards. Hole punch corner and assemble with key ring.
Cut and laminate smaller response cards. Hole punch corner and assemble with key ring.
In my classroom I have students sitting in groups of four. One student is the "question master" and gets the question cards. The other students have the response cards. The student who is the "question master" asks a student about their art work that they have in front of them. The other students who are not asking or being asked a question use their response cards to continue the discussion. Once the discussion has ended a new student becomes the "question master" for the next round. Continue until all students have had a chance to talk about their artwork.
Easy as that! I love this activity because I am able to walk around and listen to discussions as tables lead their own learning.
Includes three pages of questions and three pages of responses.
