Help your new or struggling readers improve their fluency with these Dolch Phrases activities.
Five Components are included in every Dolch Phrase unit.
Each phrase is written on an individual flashcard. A card containing the entire list
of phrases has been included to keep you organized.
**PYRAMID PHRASES PRACTICE CARDS**
Each phrase is broken down using the pyramid model. Laminate the cards to use
over and over again or make a booklet for each child.
**PYRAMID SENTENCE PRACTICE SHEETS**
These pages present sentences that contain the phrases. This allows students to
apply their reading skills after practicing the phrases.
Who doesn't love learning through playing? Three different games are included
to help your students practice phrases without even realizing they're learning.
The games are interchangeable with my other Dolch Phrases units. The
directions remain the same to create a sense of consistency.
It's important to monitor your students' progress with the phrases so you know
when they are ready to move on to the next list. In this unit, you will receive six
different student probes and tracking sheets, plus a graph for tracking progress.
A simple tracking sheet has also been provided to allow you to track your
students' three successful readings of the phrases if you'd rather not do the more
formal progress monitoring probes.
Phrases covered in List 1:
he had to
she said that
you and I
but they said
that was in
I hope you find this unit to be as enjoyable and helpful as my students and I have. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
