If you teach handwriting skills, your kids need to know the difference between tall letters, short letters, and hang-down letters. This pocket chart sort can be used as a teaching instructional tool, or a hands-on literacy center. Students sort the letter cards into tall letters, short letters, and hang-down letters. Students then write the letters on a provided recording sheet. This pocket chart could also be displayed as a resource for students to use while writing their letters. I have provided the pocket chart in both color and black and white.
