How do you properly assess students with limited verbal abilities in their reading? Many schools use the DRA Benchmark Assessment to identify students; instructional reading level. I always struggled with the students who could read fluently, but could not show what they know without visual prompts!
This product gives visuals needed to sequence the events of the DRA stories. Students who are non verbal or have limited nonverbal skills do not have to be stuck on DRA level 3 anymore! When presenting students’ DRA level at IEP meetings, it is important to note that the assessment was modified or differentiated to meet the student’s individual needs.
This is a GROWING companion pack that will include all the stories for each DRA level.
Currently, this pack includes the following:
Level 4: Where Is My Hat?
Level 4: Get Your Umbrella
Level 6: Why Are We Stopping?
Level 6: Time to Play
Level 8: Duke
Level 8: The Lost Book
Level 10: Grandma's Surprise
Level 10: Shoe Boxes
