Rubric criteria in accordance with the current Ontario Curriculum for The Arts.
Applicable for grades 6-8, but can be modified for primary grades as well.
Created for a specific play, but can be modified to fit any drama activity / presentation.
Expectations are clear, comprehensive. Areas that will be assessed are:
- role/character (i.e. focus, emotion range/sincerity)
- physicality (i.e. body language)
- stage positioning
- application (overall effort in final performance; presence of ingenuity, props)
Each area has a detailed description for each, so that it is easily understood by students and parents.
Also includes writing space for teachers to include personalized feedback for students.
