This is an engaging addition to your natural selection and adaptation/camouflage units. All of these can easily be uploaded into a google platform either on google-drive or within google classroom if your school has a 1-to-1 technology device setup. If not, this is just as engaging from a single screen.
Camouflage is a fascinating adaptation in nature. Although the chameleon is often synonymous with camouflage it is actually only responding to territory or threats. The Cuttlefish does truly camouflage and its range of abilities is more extensive than can be imagined. It is almost alien it is so unusual.
This product requires access to the DVD or streaming video PBS Nature ”Kings of Camouflage”. It includes a 1 page student fill-in think sheet, 1 differentiated sheet where the terminology is included, and the answer key (3 pages total Doc and 3 PDF formats), the document formats allow for easy edits or modifications for higher or lower grade levels. Add more response areas for higher grade levels or a word bank for differentiation or lower grade levels. The one page PowerPoint is for students to have a single, universal source of definitions for their terminology.
