This is a list-making game that allows students to practice vocabulary as well as process cultural information in the target language (Portuguese). This particular set includes both intermediate (testing mainly vocabulary) and advanced levels (testing creativity and cultural knowledge).
To play: divide your classroom into teams. Depending on their level, you probably want to limit teams to 3-5 players. At the start of each round, pick a card from the pile. Teams then have a certain amount of time (suggestion: 2 minutes) to come up with five things in that particular category. Successful teams each earn one point per round.
Note: you can award extra points for particularly creative or funny answers. This game can be played individually, as well. Player with the most/best answers per round wins.
