This NO PREP
game uses 20 adjectives (10 per game) found on the vocabulary list for D’accord 1, Leçon 1B: Cognate descriptive adjectives.
Starting with the top grid, the teacher chooses 2 different adjectives to assign to each “personnage” (Georges, Marie, Ahmed, Claire and Françoise).
Students take turns asking yes/no questions of the teacher to try to figure out which adjectives go with which person. They may only ask about one adjective at a time.
(Est-ce que) Georges est agréable ?
Marie est charmante ?
All students need to be keeping track as questions are answered.
Although students may not yet know how to make verbs negative, this game is a great way to model the formation of a negative statement.
Play continues until a student thinks that they can accurately match up the 2 adjectives per person.
Each grid has a different list of adjectives, allowing for 2 rounds of play.
