Use this NO PREP activity to help your students work on writing the conjugations of irregular verbs in the Subjunctive mood. Complete directions and an answer key are included.
Put students into pairs and distribute one game board per pair.
The goal of this game is to win 4 boxes in a row: vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. In order to win a box, a player needs to write in the conjugation of the verb in the present tense based on the subject given.
Players start with a box on the bottom of the grid and take turns filling in a box. This game is played like a traditional Connect 4 game in that play begins on the bottom of the grid and players can only play above a box that has already been filled in.
Once a player thinks that they have connected 4 boxes, they can verify their answers using the key. If they have conjugated a verb incorrectly, play can continue.
Verbs included in this game: avoir, être, faire, aller, pouvoir, savoir, vouloir
