This NO PREP activity is played like the classic game of Battleship. Students place their ships on their board (color in the boxes) on the top of the sheet. They try to guess the location of their opponent's ships using the grid on the bottom of the sheet to keep track.
There are subject pronouns on the left hand side of the grid and irregular -ir verbs in the infinitive on the top of the grid. To make a guess, the student needs to give the proper form of the verb for the box they are guessing.
This game is easy to differentiate. Have students play in the passé composé or or the plus-que-parfait if they have already mastered the present tense and don't need to practice.
Vocabulary for hit, miss and sunk are included on the game sheet as are directions for how many ships to place on the grid.
