As a way to hold students accountable for what they are doing during our enrichment and intervention times, I created a 10 round rotation for my students so they could still have choice of the order in which they complete the activities, but would not be able to repeat a center before the end of the first round of choices.
Math by Myself- Students complete activities on iPads or other singular math activities.
Partner/Buddy Math- Students complete activities that are able to be done in partners.
Math Stories- Students read books centered around math concepts.
Writing in Math- Students write number stories or story problems based upon the current unit/module of study. They may also create a story using math concepts in a math journal.
Math Fact Fluency- Students may work on iPads or computer programs centered upon fluency. They can roll dice and make math problems, too. Many students loved to use dry erase boards and quiz each other or work on flash cards.
