I personally LOVE the Daily 5 by Gail Boushey and Joan Moser and all the fun activities available for kiddos to work with during these times! I use a modified version of the authors' brilliant plans and ideas in my second grade classroom.
I found that my group of second graders weren't getting any particular instruction or practice with grammar lessons. So, I modified the Daily 5 concepts to include a grammar rotation. So, our Daily 5 rotations are Read to Self, Word Work, Work on Writing, Teacher Time, and Grammar.
These are signs to signify what area of the room students should be working at during these rotations or to give visuals of what assignments they should be working on during these times. They help our rotations run more smoothly and I hope they will help yours do the same!
Note: These signs are not endorsed or related to the Daily 5 books, concepts, or merchandise in any way. They are intended for personal use in the classroom. =) Thank you!
