Recognize when the quadratic formula gives complex solutions and write them as π’ Β± π£πͺ for real numbers π’ and π£.
Use the method of completing the square to transform any quadratic equation in πΉ into an equation of the form (πΉ β π±)Β² = π² that has the same solutions. Derive the quadratic formula from this form.
