These Daily 5 rounds cards were adapted from the Daily 5 written by Gail Boushey and Joan Moser. They are in no way endorsed by the Sisters. I adapted them to match the chalkboard theme in my classroom, and the personal needs of my classroom. I hope you find that they work for you and your classroom as well.
The focus in my classroom is to REALLY make an effort to get at least three of the Daily 5 rounds in each day: “READ TO SELF, WORK ON WRITING & WORD WORK,”. “Listen to Reading.” is usually done whole group when I engage the class in exciting stories. “Read to Someone,” often takes place when our fifth grade friends come into our classroom or other times in the week when we pair up with our classmates.
Whether you get through 3, 4, or 5 rounds of Daily 5 each day, this product can work for you.. Just choose the Round Cards that match your classroom needs. Print and laminate the cards for durability. I tape the Round Cards to the students desks for easy reference. Students know what they should be doing according to the round we are working on.
