This is a very simple product, designed to give students daily practice with basic computation. I have found that my students need to practice these important skills daily, in order to master computation skills, and to keep the algorithms fresh in their minds.
These daily computation pages only take a small amount of time out of our day. However, they make a huge impact in helping students to maintain their computation skills. These pages can be used as part of morning work, as a math warm-up, or as a bell ringer activity.
These pages were designed to be copied back-to-back. The front side gives students 1 problem each of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, per day, for Monday through Thursday. The back side includes a Weekly Target number for Friday. Students need to use 2 or more basic operations to write equations that equal to the Weekly Target. This gives students the chance to apply their computation skills and use critical thinking skills, in order to hit the Weekly Target. The back side of the paper also gives students work space.
The skill level of these pages starts out simple, reviewing computation skills from third grade. Throughout the weeks, they become increasingly more difficult, eventually helping students to prepare for fifth grade.
