Hi! Thanks for checking out my Daily 5 Exit Ticket. I have started implementing the Daily Five in my second grade classroom, but found that I needed some type of accountability. I searched and searched and couldn’t find anything that would meet my needs, so I decided to make up my own.
At the end of the day, I hole punch completed tickets and those students pack up and have a few minutes of free time. It is a great motivator.
I have found most of the word work stations right off of TPT and love them! They write down the spelling words we are working on for the current unit and/or words that they have had trouble on in previous units (those words are on index cards in their shoe pocket). The read to self side reinforces common core and really makes them think about what they are reading.
They write down what they chose to work on at writing station or listen to reading.
I actually started having them fill out part of the ticket as morning work. They use it as a planning sheet and decide early on what they are going to do.
All you need to do is place these two papers in the copier and choose the back to back option. One side will be read to self and the other side will be for the other stations. Cut on the dotted line and you have two tickets on one page.
If you need me to alter some of the stations, let me know. Thanks for looking!
