Product Description
This is a daily grammar practice program that uses song lyrics to aid in teaching grammar rules. Students practice a new grammar concept each week by doing different tasks each day. This is perfect for students who are preparing to take the ACT, SAT, or EOC.

The daily tasks are outlined clearly in the preview, but here is a quick overview:

*Mentor sentences (from lyrics as well as matching-themed informational texts)
*Opportunities for correcting grammar mistakes
*Writing practice using the grammar focus of the week and a weekly informational text with a focus on sentence combining.
* Test prep /ACT Prep / End of Course Prep
* Figures of Speech /Literary Devices

You will also get a 5 question quiz each week that can be used as a pre and post quiz

Download the preview to get a full picture of the first 3 weeks of this grammar program!

This PowerPoint is COMPLETELY editable. I know that English teachers use different definitions for figures of speech and grammar rules, so you can edit these to fit your needs.

The weekly song is linked to each week. I have found that the songs serve as an awesome timer to keep students on task. Each song/daily task will take around 4-5 minutes to complete. Each song is clean, upbeat, and timeless (mostly because I don't want to have to redo this massive about of work for myself haha!)

Grammar lessons include:
Independent and dependent clauses
Introductory phrases/ Prepositional phrases
Avoiding run-on sentences
Parallel Structure
Colons and dashes
Appositives
Comma splices
Prepositions
Pronouns (I v/s Me, etc)
Indefinite pronouns
Ambiguous pronouns
Passive Voice
Shifting verb tenses
Irregular past tense verbs
Subject-verb agreement
Subjunctive Mood
Adverbs
Comparitive and Superlative adjectives

I also have a second edition available that covers the same concepts but uses different songs and articles. This can be used as further review if you teach year-long or as a way to not duplicate the material if you teach the same students twice.
