My students and I LOVE graphing! Data is one of those mathematical standards that can easily be integrated into science, social studies, art, and other content areas. Graphs are also so much fun, why save them for just your data unit?
This product contains 5 graphs. You can use one graph a day, which is what I like to do, or you can use the graphs as you see fit for your students. These daily graphs are meant to be used in a shorter amount of time. They are perfect as a 5-10 minute filler either during transition times, as students arrive to the classroom first thing in the morning, or as a warm-up before math begins. These graphing activities are meant to be a quick and easy way for your students to master organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data, as well as creating graphs.
Additional daily graphs will be created and added on a regular basis. Be sure to follow my store so you are notified of when they are uploaded. Each week of daily graphing activities will be a different theme.
*5 graph questions (There are 2 versions- One has to be cut and taped/laminated together. The other does not.)
*Category Name Cards for each graphing question (2 versions)
*Student response cards for each graph question (Black & white version when available)
*Student graphing sheets for each graph question
Each graph is aligned with grades K-3 data standards.
You may decide to use fewer or more choices for students, depending on ability/grade level. There are 3 levels of graphing sheets for each graph that students can complete. Each graphing sheet has a blank graph for students to record the data. The types of questions on each sheet are differentiated. Level 1 has more basic questions, while level 2 and 3 are more higher level questions. Either you or your students will have to fill in the blanks on all of the graphing sheets to complete the questions depending on the data OR you may wish to type in the blanks using the editable text boxes. If you would rather your students fill in the blanks, simply delete the text boxes before printing. You may decide to tell level 1 students what to write in the blanks, while you may let level 3 students create their own questions.
The links to the fonts that are used has been included in the product file so you can download on your computer IF you want to use the text boxes with the matching font. This is not required to use this product.
***This file is a powerpoint. However, each slide is a jpeg. This is so you can use text boxes to either type in your own category or you can type in the blanks on some of the graphing recording sheets. The types of font used is listed in the directions. The clip art is SECURED. The only editable part of this file are a few text boxes where you can type in words if desired instead of students handwriting the words. The text boxes can simply be deleted BEFORE printing if desired.***
