My students have been writing things they're grateful for in their agendas since the beginning of the year. I thought that making these cute slips would inspire them to share with their classmates and family members. The power of doing this everyday extends into their daily lives. I've seen a huge difference in their mindsets and attitudes this year. I challenge them each day to do at least one thing new. Some of my students have come up with the sweetest things to be grateful for like, socks, wind, trashcans, and other things. I always viewed the wind as a gross thing that brings allergies, face exfoliation, and dirt everywhere, but my students had me looking at it from a different perspective, it brings seeds, which brings flowers, which brings food for animals like insects and hummingbirds. We just have to look at everything differently and with gratitude!
