This PDF File contains 45 writing prompts for your students to respond to during the first 5-10 minutes of class.
Students work on building their enjoyment of writing by responding to varied and interesting writing prompts. This set of 45 prompts includes photographs, persuasion, compare and contrast, silly, and serious questions for students to consider.
I have also included ideas about how to use these in your classroom and how to ease your grading load.
I think these are best used from middle school to First Year Composition courses. Make sure to adjust your expectations depending on the age and ability level of your students.
Many of my college students told me that this was their favorite part of the class because it made them think in a different way and allowed them an opportunity to be creative!
