Description

Do you ever find yourself panicking in the morning because you don't have morning work for your students? This bundle will not only save your time and a lot of panicking but it will help your students prepare for standardized testing, master concepts, and feel good about their ability to solve math problems.

In this 36 week bundle, many core skills are continuously reviewed. Your students won’t forget what to do when that concept is seen again. Therefore, you won’t need to continuously re-teach concepts.

There are two problems for your students to solve for each day of the week. The problems are on one sheet to save you copy time and paper. You can either post this on the elmo or overhead, or, simply give them the Morning Math Sheet along with "Morning math worksheet" to work on. Your preference.

Also, included in this bundle are the answer sheets for all of the weeks. As well as a skills spreadsheet for each week in case you would like to use this morning work for a grade. The skills spreadsheet has the titles of the common core that are addressed for that day. Therefore, it will be easy to track where your students are successful in and where they may struggle.

Operations and algebraic thinking: factors, multiples, prime and composite numbers, patterns, word problems
Number and operations base ten: ordering, comparing, adding and subtracting, multiplication and division
Number and operations fractions: comparing and ordering, adding and subtracting, mixed numbers and improper fractions, simplifying fractions
Measurement: measurement units, perimeter and area, elapsed time
Geometry: symmetry

You may use this bundle right at the beginning of school and continue through to the end of the school year.

Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
