This Daily Math Review, or daily warm-up, gives students a chance to practice previously taught building block skills on a routine basis. This review includes nine weeks of work.
My students keep this document in a three pronged folder. I hole punch the review so it is easy for them to locate, and so that pages aren't lost. They spend 10 minutes each morning completing a page of the review. I then quickly work through the problems while students check their work for accuracy.
On Friday mornings, I give the students the quiz. The quiz is a selection of problems that were visited earlier in the week. The quiz is a great formative assessment. It allows me to see which students need extra support, and which students have mastered which skills.
Weeks ten through eighteen are also available.
