A fun and unique way to teach poetry! Daily Poetry is designed to bring poetry to the daily life of your middle school or high school classroom. Using short lessons (mostly 5-10 minutes each, with the occasional longer one thrown in), Daily Poetry fits in alongside anything and everything else you are teaching much like DOLs.

Over the course of their study, your students will become familiar with many types of poetry--from haiku to free verse and from sonnet to elegy, as well as many diverse poets--from Sappho, Shakespeare, and Pound, to Kipling, Watterson, and Angelou. Over forty-five poems appear over the course of these lessons (any or all of which can be easily substituted for other poems of your choice if you desire for any reason)!

-Approximately 120 short (some a little longer) lessons
-Written, verbal, and artistic exploration of poetry
-Individual, small group, and whole class activities
-Poetry composition
-Extra credit suggestions
-Rubrics, keys, and grading suggestions as well as suggestions for class structure and set-up for the teacher
-So Much More!

Also includes both PDF and Docx formats of all items for ease of use and customization.

Once you have downloaded, looked over, and/or used this, please leave feedback! Thanks!
