See the entire daily reading challenge by downloading the preview. This item includes everything you need to celebrate reading and challenge your readers too. This item is perfect for the month of March but can be used any time during the school year.
This item includes:
-A cover for student materials.
-The reading challenge defined using common story elements.
-Highlighting 3-5 reading goals (allows for differentiation).
-Creating a reading list - books, authors, genres, and topics.
-Math to design a reading goal.
-Reading log pages.
-Books to color - each book equals 1 hour of reading.
-Reading balloon (trophy).
-Certificate Of Daily Reading
-Balloons inviting students to record a favorite book (for purposes of display).
-Bulletin board lettering: Get “Carried Away”
Printing: Simply print, collate, and staple the daily reading log materials exactly the way they are presented. The materials will cover a student’s reading needs for a 4-12 week period. However, pages are intentionally not numbered to allow for flexibility. Additionally, each student will need one balloon to record a favorite book for purposes of display. Print and trim bulletin board lettering for purposes of display.
Fun tip: Kids LOVE using clipboards. Clipboards make it possible for students to work away from a desk or table. The Dollar Store frequently offers clipboards for 1$. Have a clipboard decorating party. Crafting materials might include paint, stickers, rhinestones, and glitter. Decorate the clipboards to match the (balloon) reading theme. Super fun and very useful.
