As a primary teacher, reading is always the only “homework” I assign my students (with occasional exceptions…)
I always stress how important it is for students to read every day at home for at least 20 minutes.
I never assign specific readings for this homework because I feel it’s important that students are reading for pleasure. - Always trying to instill a love for reading!
I created these reading logs to help track student reading at home and hold students/parents accountable for their/their child’s reading.
*One reading log for each month of the year (including summer months and leap year)
*One colored copy for each month as well as a black and white copy.
*One parent letter to send home regarding the reading logs.
*Explanation: “Why your child can’t skip their 20 minutes of reading.”
