Daily Routine (In, At, and On): A Grammar-Focused ESL Speaking Lesson (A2-B1)

Google Drive™ folder

Description
Do you have online students who want to focus on conversation/speaking practice but have fossilized grammar errors? This google slides class is perfect for them!
This class reviews the use of the prepositions in, at, and on for both time and place. It is not meant to be an introductory lesson to these prepositions, but rather a review with an emphasis on speaking practice. I find I have a lot of intermediate to advanced students who learned these prepositions but still have a lot of fossilized mistakes, and so I created this lesson to help them practice and receive real-time correction.
I find my one-on-one online students primarily want to focus on speaking practice, but also at times really need to review some grammar. This lesson seeks to help them improve their grammar while also incorporating as much speaking practice as possible.
This folder contains 2 copies of a google slide presentation (one with notes for teachers, one without for students) as well as a google doc with extensive teacher's notes. The first 13 slides are speaking practice and grammar review. Slides 14-16 contain some exercises that can be used if students are struggling with grammar or assigned as homework for reinforcement. Slide 17 contains a short preposition-focused writing assignment that I usually give for homework, but it could also be done orally in class with some small tweaks.
This lesson runs about 60 minutes. It can be lengthened by using all of the speaker notes to add additional questions to the conversation. Most slides have additional optional conversation questions for those students who want even more speaking practice :)
