Easy subject cards. Print, cut, slap a piece of magnet or blue tack on the back and you are good to go. I made this a few years back and since I am teaching in Hong Kong, there is a subject mandarin in there.
Includes: Welcome Circle, Field Trip, Library, Literacy, Lunch, Journal, Mandarin, Play Break, Science, Silent Reading, Social Studies, Social Skills, Phys. Ed, Music, Math Assembly, Snack, Art, Parent Reader, Student Reader.
A larger Today's Schedule card. Plus a mystery ??? card for surprises.
I use the surprise one to help some students who are very rigid to schedules face a little uncertainty. Initially, I always place something pleasant in the mystery time slot, like a fun game. After the child gets used to the idea of not know, throw something else in there. This allows the child to learn that not everything goes according to the schedule and things may change. I am speaking to those teachers who may have a child with ASD in their classroom. :)
