They answer ten questions per day--works as a great warm-up. Students love the challenge and classroom discussion on some of the questions afterwards.
The question stems used are from the STAAR exams, 6th-8th Grade, so while 4th/5th graders will be able to answer most of the questions, there will be some challenges. Here's three examples of such questions (how they look in the STAAR exam, not my daily reader questions).
Which of the author’s arguments is based on faulty reasoning?
Which event contributes most to the narrator’s inner conflict in the story?
Which sentence best supports the idea that the use of skyscrapers was a practical solution to a problem?
