I created Daily Visual Challenges as a means of incorporating more visual literacy practice into each school day. They encourage students to be observant, train them to strengthen their memory recall, and provide them with opportunities to dive in and explore meanings of visuals.
Each set of Daily Visual Challenges includes a variety of activities throughout the month. Some involve identifying visuals seen in the past (such as shapes of states and images on coins); others involve creating illustrations; and a few require solving (such as puzzles and patterns).
Daily Visual Challenges require minimal prep. Answers are included along with links to supplemental videos and additional online resources if you want to extend an activity.
This April set of Daily Visual Challenges contains 30 challenges to allow them to be used year after year.
