Description
Daily Vocabulary Mini-Lessons or "stretches". Teach the meaning of new words and practice precise word choice. Short, sharp vocabulary activities for Grade One - ten weeks worth!
Vocabulary instruction is best taught in regular, short lessons - which makes this resource highly effective and valuable!
These cards are designed to be done with the whole class in less than five minutes. In fact, my class does them in two minutes as part of a transition in our literacy block! Each day of the week is given a theme, therefore helping to create a weekly routine and keep you accountable!

The words used in this resource are Tier 2 words collated from a variety of sources, such as from curriculum documents and word lists. They also include simple and challenging words from the NAPLAN vocabulary list (for Australian schools).
