Please note: This is a PowerPoint Slide Show. If you can't open this type of file, or if you are not interested in the animations that show one possible answer at a time, I have also posted a pdf version of this item for you! See it here: pdf version
This Slide Show contains one word problem for each school day in October. The problems require multiplication and/or division and most have more than one step. On each slide, there is a word problem, then two possible answers, only one of which is correct. The questions at the bottom of the slide ask "Who's correct?" and "Who made a mistake?"
You can spend as little or as much time on the slides as you would like. They can be used for warm ups, class discussion, or printed and used in interactive notebooks. They could also be printed for use as task cards in a gallery walk or Scoot game.
Designed with 4th graders in mind, this item could also be used with 3rd or 5th grade, depending on the level of the students.
