In an effort to incorporate the new Common Core Standards and provide daily writing opportunities for my students, I have created daily writing pages for my Kindergarten class. Pages can be used to scaffold learning for the entire class or to differentiate for varying student abilities.

This set includes:

10 different daily writing pages

in both color and black/white.

*To use, simply post a sentence on the board with the day, for example, “Today is Monday.” Then write a prompt on the board to which students may respond. This may be a sentence stem or question such as, “What did you do this weekend?” or “In winter I like to ___. Begin with first set of forms (that include the day) at the beginning of the year or use for struggling writers. As forms progress scaffolding changes to require more copying from the board and provide more space for writing. All the various forms may be used as the school year progresses or for more developed writers.
