Welcome to Daily Writing Prompts.
Daily writing prompts are always fun. They get the brains flowing, ideas growing and conversations sparking. I really enjoy doing daily prompts with my students and I love coming up with them. So far there are 95 different daily prompts. I will be updating as I go on and create more. Hurray for free updates.

STANDARDS - below are some of the 9th grade standards that can be used when dealing with these writing prompts.
Use narrative techniques, such as dialogue, pacing, description, reflection, and multiple plot lines, to develop experiences, events, and/or characters.
Use a variety of techniques to sequence events so that they build on one another to create a coherent whole.
Write routinely over extended time frames (time for research, reflection, and revision) and shorter time frames (a single sitting or a day or two) for a range of tasks, purposes, and audiences.
