This is a set of 28 writing prompt cards and journal pages for the month of June. As there are fewer than 28 school days in June, you can choose which prompts you would like to use and still have some leftover.
Prompt cards are included in full color and black & white. In addition to the 28 writing prompts, a page of blank cards are included so that you can write your own additional prompts if needed.
Examples of some of the prompts included in this set:
-Would you rather have a hamburger or a hot dog? Why?
-What would it be like if you lived on an island?
-Finish this story starter: It was so hot...
-If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go? Why?
-Make a list of things that are hot. Use your words to make sentences.
The cards are numbered 1-28 and do not correspond to specific dates, so you can use them in whatever order you like. You can also have them at a journal center and allow students to choose their prompt.
Journal covers and pages with different line spacing are included if you would like to make your own journals, but students can also write in notebooks. I just make sure that they write the prompt number at the top of their page.
This file also includes ideas for storing and organizing your cards.
