A free poster to post in your Spanish classroom of all ages and levels. The poster serves as a reminder for an attention-getting classroom management routine that I recommend introducing at the very beginning of the year.
When students are engaged in an activity, off-topic, or their attention is otherwise elsewhere, raise your hand and say in a volume all can hear, "¡Dame cinco!"
Then, students should know to turn themselves towards you and chant in unison, "Boca. Cerrada. Miro y escucho." I've placed periods where the pauses are in the chant that I do with my classes. It helps if students learn the response on a bit of a beat, so that it's easier for them to stay together when they chant it in unison.
