Aurally identifying melodic patterns utilizing do re mi (mi re do) while addressing the Orff and Kodaly music curriculum has just become fun and exciting with this student interactive game. Your elementary music students will love watching the penguin dance when they select the correct answer!
The interactive game includes 15 student interactive game slides (created with PowerPoint 2013 tested on 2010). All melodies are on a 5 line staff with examples in FM utilizing quarter notes and eighth notes (see thumbnails). Each slide has several sound effects and animations. Students will click on the penguin to hear a melodic pattern. They will then click on the answer that matches the melody they hear! Students will know immediately without leaving the page if they were able to determine which melody was played or if they need to listen again. Get ready for giggles and dance moves to break out - excellent for a movement brain break. The product works well with Smartboards! Students just have to touch the board to activate the animations.
An excellent observation or assessment tool to see which students might be struggling with the concept.
The product was created to be compatible for Mac users. However, please download the preview as a test prior to purchasing!
