This activity takes after the artistic style of "blackout poetry" to explore imagery. The assignment involves students finding adjectives and moments of imagery in selections from the text and then illustrating them based on the mental pictures they had while considering the text. This is an excellent activity to get students focused on how writers develop imagery and represent it through the written word. This is also a great activity for students who enjoy hands-on, artistic approaches to learning.
