As my students read the Inferno, I have them keep track of all the important details by filling out this chart. This key contains information about who and what's in each layer of Hell, the important symbols and allusions, and examples of contrapasso at work. This is not by any means a comprehensive reading guide, as I don't think high school students could really handle one, but it does chart out the most important information they will need to know. In addition, I have a great powerpoint that accompanies this chart, and I will share it with you for free if you would like. Please just email me at email@example.com.
