Daphnia are fun organisms to view in middle school science. This product is a coloring and classification page that goes along with any daphnia lab observation. Students first research the classification of a daphnia down to the genus level (using a computer or supplemental text). Then they color the daphnia and label 5 basic parts. This provides valuable background before students do a direct observation in class.
NOTE: This lesson is designed and tested for a mainstreamed middle school science classroom of 24 students meeting daily for 40 minutes. The teacher will find lesson materials for direct instruction, reinforcement and homework.
