Description

My name is Tom Bogus, I have 27 years of teaching experience. I have compiled 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade math activities that are highly engaging, called Dash To Math. Think of the activities as a bridge between Math and Physical Education. By using Dash To Math we can close the achievement gap and fight obesity.

The Dash To Math activities integrate both Math and Fitness. While performing the math activities, the students are fully engaged in physical fitness. I designed the activities to assist students in making the cognitive connections needed to perform well in the classroom. I believe when you stimulate the brain through exercise, the information will be more easily recalled.

The objective specific activities are designed to motivate 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students to embrace math. The activities are arranged by common core math objectives. Each grade level contains one activity for every common core standard.
