Children are immersed in regular and routine activities all of their lives. Often times they only see themselves in the picture and not that same impact on others. Regular data collecting projects help students compare themselves with others or helps the entire class reflect on broader issues in the family and the outside world. In the process students are engaged in and learn all forms of numerical processes they can apply themselves to their personal questions about life. Following is a list of data collecting activities to add to those teachers use regularly.
