Product Description
This product was created to help you with additional practice for whole group or small groups of students. There are three sets of numbers and they are in different sizes.

The process for this assignment is to have students randomly draw sets of numbers so they can order the set, and then determine the landmarks for the set of numbers. Round 1 is especially easy for them to determine median because they are working with an uneven set of numbers (5).

Round 2 on page 2 of the student worksheet may be more challenging because students are working with eight numbers and the median might have a decimal. For instance, if the set of numbers drawn is: 7, 13, 20, 20, 21, 24, 25, 25 the landmarks would be: minimum: 7; maximum: 25; range: 18; mode: 20, 25 (there are two modes in this set of numbers); median: 20.5.

Round 3 on page 3 gives you the option to decide if students can use a calculator to solve for the mean.
