This class survey project is a fantastic way to end any unit on Data Collection and Management or Statistics and Probability. Students are asked to create a proper research question that they are able to collect primary data from their peers. The data collection can be done online or using pencil and paper.
Once the data collect is complete students need to organize the data according to proper methods for your grade and/or curriculum standards/expectations i.e. tally chart, frequency table or a stem and leaf plot.
Students use this data to graph their findings and make inferences based on the data.
This assignment is highly engaging as students love to share about themselves and find out about their peers.
