We are required by our district to keep a data notebook in which the kids take part in making goals and keeping track of their own progress.
I used to use binders, but they took up too much space and were a little scary around little fingers, so I switched to Data Folders.
We keep track of AR levels, math facts scores, etc. on a weekly basis, so I created these documents to put into 3 pronged pocket folders so kids could grab them each week (I do it on Mondays, generally) and check their progress quickly.
This download includes a cover page, a list of learning goals the students can make (I used this for like 2 months and it was a LOT, but my principal liked it), an AR chart, and a place to track scores for math fact quizzes.
I've included these four pages both in color and grayscale to suit your printing needs. Also - the whole thing is editable!
If you are new to data notebooks/folders this will get you off to a quick start!
