This document is designed as a sefl reflecting tool for students once they have chosen a math goal. There is an area to write the goal and decide the focus of the goal (example: computation). Students choose a date to master it by, and there is a shading tool that can be used multiple times to track progress. The shading tool uses a 4-3-2-1 scale so show mastery.
This document works very will in student data notebooks but can be used in any way the teacher desires. It is a great tool to use for stuent conferring as well as parent communication. In my teaching experience it has increased the motivation of students and really helped them stay focused on one thing to reduce frustration overall.
