This document is a self reflective document for students when choosing a writing goal. Works great in a data notebook setting but can be used any way teacher desires. It helps students focus on one goal in hopes that they will master and be able to move forward with a new goal. Great to use with conferring and parent communication. Increases motivation and reduces writing anxiety.
There is an area for the goal and then an area to choose the focus of the goal (example: revising). You set a goal date; and then there is a self reflection shading tool that allows students to graph on a 4-1 scale how they feel they are doing with their goal. This document can be used multiple dates so you can chart progress.
