This worksheet provides students with two fictional experiments and allows them to practice basic data processing and presentation. This worksheet can be done individually or in small groups. For each experiment, students are given raw data and asked to calculate the average, create appropriate data tables and graphs, draw conclusions based on the data and make a realistic suggestion for improvement. An answer key is provided.
I use this worksheet after conducting the Holy Moly, Roly Poly! lab (lesson plan and lab are available in my store). It provides a great opportunity for students to continue to build on their data processing and presentation skills, which are often one of the areas of weakness identified in the Roly Poly lab. Plus, the fictional labs are modeled after the Roly Poly lab so it provides students with great context.
