Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead is often a misunderstood holiday and often confused with Halloween. If you are looking for an easy way to integrate a multi-cultural lesson in an already busy curriculum, this short lesson is perfect.
In this lesson students will learn the meaning behind the holiday, the traditions involved, and some of the iconography associated with it. Included is a one page history with comprehension questions, 3 projects--Papel Picado for younger aged kids, Mask Making with template, and Digital Media makeup in the style of the many people that celebrate the day.
